Costa Rica
From the very beginning the congregation has been very active in missions, both foreign and domestic. At the present time our budgeted foreign missions include three cities in Costa Rica: Grecia, Sarchi, and Naranjo. The church in Grecia is served by Teodoro Alpizar, the church in Naranjo is served by Edilberto Cordoba, and the youth camp in Sarchi, Camp Jenny Sue, is headed by Riccardo Gonzales. These men and their families lead dynamic ministries which continue to grow. Camp Jenny Sue serves as a meeting place for workshops and fellowship groups of all ages.
Greece
In Athens, Greece, Dino and Mata Tzanetos are long time missionaries who continue to produce great fruit in the kingdom. Their efforts reach throughout Greece and into other countries, such as Albania and Nigeria. Their prison ministry is especially successful.
Kenya
In Kenya the influence of Siriat Bible School reaches beyond the Kipsigis tribe it serves. David Tonui administers this Bible school in a very able way. The school is overseen by an active board of directors who take their responsibility to God seriously. David received his Master’s Degree from Abilene Christian University. He is highly respected for his leadership ability and his knowledge of God’s Word. Thomas Wilson Rotich is a teacher at SBS as well as the minister of the Litein church of Christ. He is supported by this congregation as well.
Some of our members travel yearly to at least one of our mission sites, Cost Rica being the most often visited. We actively teach in Vacation Bible Schools, conduct Teacher Training Workshops, participate in Leadership Training Seminars, and encourage the work in any way we can.
